It’s supposed to be Wright W. McGee. Not E for his middle initial. The aircraft was also called Flat Fifty. McGee was my Great Grandpa so if you need proof or some more info please let me know.

Hi Steven, my uncle 2LT Joseph Mastalski (KIA) was a crew member with your Grandpa on the Flat Fifty. We know nothing about his time serving with the 816. We have photos of his grave in France but that’s about it. Any additional info or photos you can share would be greatly appreciated Thank you, Joe

Hi Joe, I just got a copy of the MACR for this incident as well as a few other items including the report for tail 106990 that was ditched in the Atlantic that your uncle was a crew member on as well. If you have an email you are willing to share I can work on sending you copies of what I have. I also have a picture of the crew of Flat Fifty standing by its tail I can try to send as well.
