My father, Elihu Peacock, was the belly turret gunner on this plane. Although he never spoke of it to my brother or I, I was greatful to find information on the plane and that fateful day over Schweinfurt Germany. It would be my honor to speak to Roland Martin, the ships commanding officer. I wish dad was still alive and could speak with him also.

Hi !! I’m the nephew of Iron Maiden eng’r/top- gunner, Nicholas Macri, from Brooklyn, NY !
We grew up with Uncle Nick’s and my dad’s recountings if B-17 missions .. and of course Nick’s capture and POW time at STALAG 17 !
Their Mom, Grace, spotted an artist’s drawing of prison barracks on a magazine cover .. and she recognized her elder son !!
I would love to be in touch .. I’m an aspiring writer hoping come up with some kind of manuscript for a book about them and events.
Uncle Nick passed kind of young even so, 70, back in ‘92.
