Thomas Lewis (Lou) Maxwell Ball Turret Gunner was a friend’s father. Mr. Maxwell inspired me to join the USAF. I wish I could recall all the stories he told me. Lou spent the war in a POW camp, then made a career in the USAF. He retired and settled in Murfreesboro TN, my home town.
