2nd Lt. Arthur Price was my Grandfather. We’ve got a plethora of photos of him before he was shot down. My Grandmother Edith, never remarried- love of her life Red Price, He is survived by one daughter, my mother Diane. After my Incredible Grandmothers passing… we spread her ashes on his grave at Normandy Beach gravesite. I’ve got photos- Definitely a Private Ryan moment…. A True Hero. Red was an Oregon Duck; as well as myself. I would often go to the water fountain at EMU/ student union and look at his brass placard and say a quick thx and prayer for his dedicated service. We have all of his letters to my grandmother before he was shot down.
