Das Flugzeug auf der Nummer 3 Position des Elements zu unserer Rechten und darüber flog (vermutlich die A/C 990), wurde von feindlichen Jägern getroffen und auf einer Seite heruntergerissen und überschlug sich und völlig zerschossen und das Flugzeug verhielt sich so, als ob Pilot und Kopilot getötet worden wären und “wie eine Tonne Ziegelsteine zu Boden gingen”. Zuletzt gesichtet bei 1422 auf 49°38’N – 08°12′ E.
Von diesem Flugzeug kamen keine Fallschirme.

My dad was a Ball Turret Gunner on Dame Satan. He completed his missions in May 1943. His name was Oliver Hackwith. I have a photo of the crew and the name Priebe sounds familiar that he may have been in my dad’s crew.
