The picture above is not the crew that was shot down in the Princess Pat.

How do you know it is not the crew shot down in Princess Pat.
Do you have photos of the crew that was shot down with Princess Pat?
Can you identify the crew members of Princess Pat?
My uncle Arthur Tweedel was shot down in Princess Pat 1944.
P.S. There was also another Princess Pat.
Thanks, John Duplant

My grandfather is Joseph McIntyre and he was the Bombardier on the Princess Pat when it was shot down. He was captured and was a POW at Stalag Luft 1. I have a picture of the crew and I would be happy to email a copy of it to you. My grandfather wrote the names on the back of the picture. Your uncles name is on it.

I have a photo of the crew on the Princess Pat and it doesn’t match the above photo. Their plane was severely damaged over Holland and crashed in Germany. Tail Gunner was Anton Svoboda, ended up in Stalaug III. Captain’s name was Magnus (sp?). Only Anton and one other crew member survived. They went down sometime in 1943. Anton told his son that the name of their bomber was “Princess Pat.”
