Staff, I am the grandson of 1LT William B. Lock. As indicated, he did EVD. Above indicates the A/C was lost to enemy aircraft. In his „Summary of Military Service“ he indicates that they were hit by flak in the left wing and it went through the wing and punctured a gas tank.

Good afternoon sir, would you perhaps have any photos of the B17 G reg.nr 42 31175, which crashed in Heerde where I live, I am working on a miniature, and wanted to recreate it exactly like that, when it is finished it will be placed in a small museum near the place where the plane crashed in Markluiden Heerde, kind regards, Dick Veldkamp

My uncle and godfather, Lt. Sol H Greenberg was the Bombadier on Trudy when they were shot down. He spent the rest of the war as a POW at Luftstalag 1.

goedenavond zou iemand mij misschien kunnen helpen aan fotomateriaal van de B17 reg.nr.42-31175 neergestort op 11 januari 1944 te Marktluiden gemeente Heerde Nederland ,ik ben een bouwpakket van dit vliegtuig aan het namaken , en zou hier graag meer informatie over willen hebben ,bij voorbaat mijn hartelijke dank groet Dick Veldkamp
