My father was the waist gunner, Lew Sparrow. He was captured and a POW for 13 months. I got to meet some of the crew he kept in touch with.

Hi there, several years ago, I have bought an old farm in this area. During clean up and renovation, I found something what appears to me as a part of the right tail wing or horizontal stabiliser of a B17. I think it might be from this plane and it would be highly appreciated if someone could help me to confirm this. Thanks and best regards Martin
