24. Mai 1944: wurde von Trümmern zweier B-17 getroffen, die kollidiert waren. Höhenruder fing Feuer und Stoffbespannung verbrannte. Kehrte dennoch sicher zum Stützpunkt zurück. Der Heckschütze Sgt. Jack N. Ross sprang jedoch mit dem Fallschirm ab und geriet in Kriegsgefangenschaft.
