WG Howard J. Armstrong was my uncle. I have a few photos and his crew in a scrapbook. Always looking for more information and photos.

Dear Jim,
I am a Board member for our local community pub – the Framsden Greyhound. Flying Fortress 43- 38402 crashed less than a mile from our little traditional pub in 1945.
As part of our research for the 80 year remembrance of VE day we would like to know a bit more about your uncle, his comrades and the plane. If you have any photos we would like to put up a picture and a commentary remembering the sacrifice they made for us all.
If you have any details and pictures we would love to have them if you were able to send us anything.
Many thanks
Brian Cox, Framsden England.

Brian I have a photo of 2Lt Hugh H. McCutchan Jr. but I can’t figure out how to upload it here. I can email it to you if you wish to share an email then I can email straight out of my photos folder where I saved it from his story that is posted on fold3.com. I love that you are having mementos posted in the pub in remembrance of this horrible mid-air collision. If you want to just test my email to see it is legit just email me with The queen of the Skies in the subject line and I’ll know to email the photo. You may have a photo of him already. I live in Tennessee the state where he is from but the opposite end of the state, He was from Knoxville TN. his story says and I am in Memphis.
Cheers.
