“I saw A/C No. 44-6130 getting hit by flak and dropping out of the formation. It went down and came up in a complete loop, went down again, half-barreled, over-looped, and started to spin down. I saw no parachutes, but did not see it explode or hit the ground. I heard that some one saw the stricken A/C hit the ground and explode.“
