B-17 Nr. 915 im Führungselement fiel aus der Formation. Motor Nr. 1 in Brand. Als es herunterkam, wurden zwei Fallschirme gesehen. Flugzeug schien unter Kontrolle zu sein. Wahrscheinlich von Flak getroffen.

Glenn Oster the CP was my uncle. I have two photos of the B17 he flew. One picture was taken of the plane by the Germans on the ground after the hard crash landing after the Muster Raid , October 10 1943. The photo was given to my uncle 45 years after the war by his bombardier Jack E. Nosser. The successful crash landing photo shows why the crew became POW’s. My uncle being the CP helped all survive the crash landing. God bless him.

My grandfather was Jack E Nosser. I have that picture as well along with some other records and photos from that time.

Jim, Albert E. Drouhard (not the spelling “Grouhard”) was my uncle (“Tot” as we knew him). I, too, would very much appreciate the two photos you mention. I think he ended up in Stalag Luft 1, and was released in Oct, 1944, through Gothenburg, Sweden, on the M.S. Gripsholm. Thanks so much!
