My dad was a lieutenant that captained this plane for 35 missions in 1944 out of Italy. He was wounded during a bombing run in his leg from flak and was awarded a purple heart.

A coworker gave me a photo of this bomber marked ‘North Africa’ on the back. I know she was stationed in Italy but would it be likely she spent time across the Mediterranean?
