My dad worked on “Phyllis” as a mechanic in WW II

My Dad was John Thomson the navigator. He went on to complete and somehow survive 50 combat missions.

Charles W. Paine, Jr. was my grandfather on my mother’s side, but I never got to meet him as he and my grandmother divorced long before I was born. I remember the comic that detailed their mission as a kid in Valdosta, GA.
