376th Bomb Group Mission History, Edwardf. Clendenin Jr.
A/C 41-2601 departed Morrision Field, Florida, April-May 1942. pilot: J. J. KRAMP
A/C was assigned to the 9th bombardment squadron, and was sent to India. From India to Lydda, Palestine.
A/C 41-2601 was part of Lewis Breretons Detachment In Middle East together with HALPRO.
9th Bomb Squadron was part of 1st Provisional Bomb Group 20 June 1942 to 31 October 1942. In subsequent organizational change, 1st Provisional Bomb Group were transferred to the newly activated 376th Heavy Bombardment Group, 9AF.
The B-17’s of the 9th bomb squadron was transferred to 10 AF in India after their last mission in 27 November 1942 with 376th BG, 9AF.
