I have a Lucky Bastard Club certificate for my father, James A. Batten. He is listed as Engineer of Duchess (not „The Duchess“. Was there more than one Duchess? thanks. Dave Batten

There were more than one „Duchess“ for sure so you have to know more information usually. I would see if you can find his squadron or bombardment group or best thing is the airplane number. My grandfather was one of the engineers/top turret gunners on this Duchess and is pictured above. However, the plane flew 39 missions and my grandfather only did 25 total and not ALL of them were on this plane (I have his flight notes/log).
