I have a letter written by my mother dated early September 1944. She tells the story of her life on the searchlight at Cuffley & mentions a plane crashing in a cornfield a few days before on Colesdale Farm, Northaw. The only evidence I can find of a nearby plane crash is the „Fools Luck“ B-17 plane crash. The problem is the dates don’t tally up. My mothers letters are very accurate & have a lot of information in them & most of the description describes this B-17 crash. I will be interested to hear your comments.
