My Dad, Alton Gee was the ball turret gunner on the Mammy Yokum 42-32031. Was your Dad in the same crew? If so what was his name? Do you have any photos? All the records burned up in 1973 for these guys. Do you know any other crew member names, their missions etc.? Please contact me at nancasillas@gmail.com

My father, Alton Gee was the Bull Turret Gunner on the Mammy Yokum. Trying to figure out where to find info on how many missions they flew.

Hello…my father was the pilot of Mammy Yokum (Lynn Borders). I have a picture of him and 4 others that may be members of the crew. He flew 26 missions and crash landed on the 26th mission in Russia on a bombing run in the spring of 1945. The crew were listed as MIA and captured, held and interrogated for some time by the Russians. I don’t have any more detailed info. He and many of his original crew got together at reunions most every year starting in the late 70’s. My father designed the memorial for the bomb group which is at the Dayton OH AF museum and was installed in late 1983 during their reunion that year. I have a pic of that also.

My grandfather, Howard William Lawson was a navigator on this plane, as far as I know from family lore, but I can’t confirm anything. So wish I could find out anything!
