The article on “B-17 #42-6098 / SUPERSTITIOUS AL-O-YSIUS” mentioned the Tail Gunner J (Joseph) Kolarik. Wondering if anyone out there had any pictures of this aircraft or information mentioning the ditching of this aircraft in the North Sea. Joe died when I was 22 and was disabled most of the rest of his life due to shrapnel in his head. He never spoke of his missions so I would love to acquire anything concerning his crew, aircraft, missions, etc. to pass on to my family. Thanks, Ray Kolarik

Does anyone have information on the SUPERSTITIOUS AL-O-YSIUS going down in the North Sea and a British Destroyer rescuing the crew.

Ray, evidently this mission was the only time Pete Milward & crew flew this aircraft 42-6098.
