aircraft was still assigned to the 96th Bomb Group, 413th Bomb squadron coded MZ-E at the time of its loss but operating with the 447th Bomb Group. Its detailed in the 96th Bomb Group newsletter, issue 62, April 2014, page 16. According to the article it was hit by a friendly bomb and crash landed in enemy territory. Photos do exist.
