Following the taxi accident on the 4th April 1945, 43-38306 LG-B „The Biggest Bird“ spent 3 weeks under repair. These were completed in time for it to fly on the 91st BG’s final mission of the war on the 25th April 1945 to Pilsen, however flak damage over the target forced the crew of Lt Robert Marlow to abandon #306 on the continent for salvage.
