Hello. I came across the grave of some people who were on this flight in Belfast Cemetery. Ireland. I have pictures if you would like them?

My Godfather and uncle was Albert Gruner, who was copilot on a B-17. We have a photo of his crew in front of a plane with large numbers 2847 on the portside nose. there is a chalkboard number 4513 on the ground at their feet. we don’t know the name of his plane, but we do know they flew a mission where their plane was damaged to the point where the Captain was planning to order a bailout. my uncle had been an airplane mechanic before joining the Corps, and he surveyed the damage and told them he believed the plane could make it home. They made it back to England. After the war he got the shakes for the rest of his life. He was the guy who held the calm during the missions, but after the service the stress manifested. Does anyone know the name of the airplane? Thank you for any info. Winston
