I am the General Manager for the Rowland Freedom Center at the Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville, California. There is a man who is still alive, Richard Halliday, who was the pilot of this aircraft. On April 25, 1945 the aircraft was hit by flak and he received wounds but was able to bring the aircraft back. His family donated many of his items to our museum.
