Hello, Kristine,
As you can see, my surname is Cribelar. I am the son of Paul Reese Cribelar, the left waist gunner on the B-17, Lady Godiva, when she was shot down on May 29, 1943. After the war, my father returned to his hometown of Indianapolis, where he unfortunately passed away at the age of 32 of a heart attack. I was only 4 months old at the time, so I really never knew my dad, or got to speak to him about the war years, or his time as a POW in Austria.
There are very few photos of The Lady Godiva that I can find, therefore, if possible, I would like to have a copy of the one you have, please.
I would be grateful to you for providing me with it. It’s nice to know that the crew and their aircraft’s sacrifices have not been forgotten.

My dear freind. I was with the nephew last friday of Theordore Paterson. His uncle, B-17’pilot of the 379Th BG, 8th USAAF, evaded of capture with the Radio operator after to have bailled out. The 8 other men were reported Pow’s. Here is the french link about this incredible story. Hello William. Alan Paterson is most close to the history of Lady Godiva that myself. I meet Alan at the US Military Cemetry of Rhône (French Riviera) and we exchanged together about B-17s and B-24s losses during WWII.
