Lee Laney, the tail gunner, was my step father. His full name was Lee Ray Laney, and he went by RAY. He survived as did his friend, the other waist gunner, Lester Terry. They both were taken prisoner and spent the rest of the war in Stalag 17B. Ray passed in 2003 at the age of 82.
