This is completely incorrect information. That is not the crew assigned to Maggie, of the 401st BG. My Father was the Ball Turret Gunner on Maggie.

My Father S/Sgt Phil Knapp was a waist gunner and tail gunner on the Maggie under capt Dempsey. He always talked about the Maggie and his crew . He flew 39 missions in all and nick named his granddaughter “Maggie”. I remember going to the 401st reunion and meeting most of the crew in San Fransico Ca in late 1970s. There was a huge pic of the Maggie on display that showed holes in almost every inch of her. I was in awe listening to the crew tell me about that mission. The Maggie was always in his thoughts.
