photos of this a/c as Home-Sick Angel in 422/305 show her appropriately in the night underside finish.
While I can’t verify or deny its later transfer to special operations with 859/492, a predominantly B-24 unit, I find it unlikely that is a/c was refinish into a daylight scheme.
I recommend finding and substituting the port side image displaying Home-Sick Angel with the night underside as a much better representation.

42-6174 was originally assigned to the 365th Squadron of the 305th Bomb Group and flew daylight raids. It later transferred to the 422nd Squadron.
