The following website has the digitized letter written to family of Capt. Jack Link with a first-hand account of the crash that claimed nine-members of the crew while mentioning Rieckelman parachuting and becoming a POW almost immediately. There is also a photograph of the gravesite, respectfully placed at the final resting place for this B-17’s crew. https://digital.shsmo.org/digital/collection/wwii/id/5299/rec/815
