Hello. My grandfather, Cecil M. Buffalo was the CPT of this air craft. He had two other aircraft and flew a total of 52 missions. I’d sure love any information.

My grandfather was a radio gunner on the Hot Rock. He became a Christian after they were forced to land the Hot Rock without landing gear and being fully loaded with drop bombs. His name was Samuel VanderJagt SR. He spent the rest of his life as a faithful minister and servant of the Lord founding several churches including the New Christian Reformed Church on Kimberly Road in Davenport. My father still has my grandfather’s leather Hot Rock bomber jacket. His generation was stronger than any since.
