The crew bailed out over Wolfach, as stated, but the aircraft crashed near Fouchey, France, on December 9, 1944. The wreckage was excavated by Jean-Luc Maurer, Francis Muller, and others. Jean-Luc recovered the data plate that positively identified it as 43-38362. I can provide supporting data, contact info, and photos. I would be especially interested in contacting anyone researching this aircraft who is related to or otherwise connected to any crew members listed on this web page.
