My father George was the pilot of the Lucky Lee, named after my mom, Lee Brannan. George rarely talked about the missions he flew, because they lost so many young friends every week. George passed December 6th, 2007. He and his crew were heroes for Freedom. Bravery beyond comprehension.

Stanley, My dad’s uncle Charles Elliott was on his crew. A story I have, when I was a teenager I had a very vast fascination with B-17’s and still do to this day. We went to his house and I had learned he was apart of a crew in WWII that was shot down and he became a POW. I had a large poster of a B-17 and he started talking all about it with me. He also started talking about the mission where they got shot down. My grandmother and the other family members that were of that generation were besides themselves because they had never heard him tell any of the stories. I have asked in a FB group of 100th bombers if there was any family members out there and really didn’t find anyone, so very nice to come along yourself here on this page.

Stanley, My dad was Walter Austin the TTE on The Lucky Lee. I met your dad when my son graduated from Pilot training at Vance AFB and my husband and I drove to meet him. I have pictures from our meeting. My sister and I did a presentation about the Lucky Lee and our dad in Chester Vt last Sept. 92 people attended. Please contact me

Hello, I’ve adopted years ago the name of radio operator William Teaff on the wall of the missing on the cementary of the Margraten in the Netherlands. couple of years ago his body was found and last summer he is burried on the cementary of Arlington. I have contact now with his granddaughters. May he rest in Peace. If anybody has more info about the crew and Lucky Lee, you can contact me.

Bart, I have collected much information about The Lucky Lee. My dad was the TTE on the Lucky Lee and I met George Brannan before he died. My dad died in 1973. I also visited
