To whom it may concern, S/Sgt. Fred Piper, the belly turret gunner on the „Flak Eater “ has just passed on at the age of 97 years old on May 24th 2022.
The was a crewmembers daughter who had been in contact with him over the years, but I did not know her name in order to let her know about his recent passing.
Fred had served on 36 missions with the 305th BG, 364the SQ…
He had been a lifelong resident of Sedona and the Verde Valley in Arizona..
